handmade ceramics

and

beautiful objects

for your

personal inventory

In eighteenth-century Florence the Guardaroba, or wardrobe, of the Medici was the place where beautiful things were kept—where valued objects for living and entertaining were stored, inventoried, and cared for, waiting to meet the needs of the family and their guests.

La Guardaroba Firenze is a contemporary repository of beauty where you can find versatile objects to satisfy the changing needs of the moment, shifting moods, and ripening seasons.

These unique, wheel-thrown ceramics will bring warmth and human touch to your entertaining and everyday living. They are pieces made to form the foundation of your personal inventory, to preserve for present and future enjoyment.

I was born in San Francisco, California, and have been living in Florence, Italy since 2015.

I’ve always made things with my hands, but find a dynamic collaboration between my art history and fine art backgrounds in my ceramics practice.

Researching eighteenth-century Florentine painter Violante Siriès Cerroti for Advancing Women Artists Foundation opened up that period in the city’s history to me, feeding my ceramics with curvaceous Baroque lines.

The experience of combing Medici and Lorraine-era inventories searching for Violante’s paintings among the artworks, objects, and furnishings carefully recorded in them inspired La Guardaroba Firenze.

I make objects I hope you will find joy in using every day, and that you will discover new ways to enliven the way you arrange your life with them.
